No. The foam is responsive rather than hard — it gives under the weight of the head and springs back. The smallest size is softer and shallower than the two larger ones.

The 1–3 size fits a standard toddler bed. Pillows are not recommended for babies under 12 months — follow your paediatrician's advice on when to introduce one.
